The gifts include 126 wheelchairs, 20 scholarships worth VND 1 million each, 50 gifts worth VND 500,000 each, and 70 bicycles valued at VND 1.6 million each.
It is a joint effort with the US’s non-profitable organization Giving it Back to Kids.
Quang Tri is currently home to more than 37,000 people living with disabilities caused by war.
Together with the local Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans and mass organizations, the province has held a number of cultural-sports activities to make it easier for people with disabilities to integrate into the community and overcome difficulties.
