According to the organizers, the program aims to bring more assistance to children in difficulties and to honor those who have made contributions to the cause of childcare and children protection over the past year.

Over the past time, the program has raised more than VND 1 trillion to support over 900,000 disadvantaged children across the country via different meaningful activities such as offering scholarships, building clean water supply systems and schools, and providing free surgeries for child-patients with congenital defects, to name but a few.

In 2018, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children spent around VND 100 billion to assist nearly 105,000 children nationwide.

Over the past 26 years, the Funds for Children at all levels together with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children have raised approximately VND 6.5 trillion to support 30 million children.
