PAN receives top prize at press awards
PANO – The organizing panel of the press awards “For Vietnam’s education cause” held a ceremony on November 17 to present prizes to award-winning journalists in the presence of Party Central Committee members Thuan Huu – Editor-in-chief of the People’s Newspaper, and Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha.

The event was jointly held by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.
At the awarding ceremony, authors of 43 press and media pieces, including one special, four A, eight B, 11 C and 20 consolation prizes, were honored.
The People’s Army Newspaper was honored for its prize-winning article titled “Stories of lives and occupation of teachers in the Northwest region,” written by Do Nam Thang, Le Dong Ha, and Tran Duy Van. This article was considered the best among the four A prize winners.
This is the first time that the press awards have been held. At the end of the awarding ceremony, the organizing panel launched the second press awards “For Vietnam’s education cause” 2019.
