Seven households in Dak To Lung Commune, Kom Ray District, Kom Tum Province, have devoted nearly 20,000 square meters of land to build a school for local children.
The Kon Ray Ethnic Minority Boarding School has been built with a total investment of VND 11 billion. It includes eight classrooms, two workshops, computer rooms, libraries, boarding dorms and other facilities.
For the new academic year, the school will enroll 180 ethnic minority pupils from remote communes including Dak To Lung, Dak Ruong and Dak Koi. Besides general knowledge, local pupils will also be provided with vocational training.
The school is expected to reduce the education gap between remote areas and urban areas.
