Incapacitated trawler towed ashore, six crew rescued
PANO - Ship SAR 412 from the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center safely towed troubled trawler ND 92268TS with six crew-members on board into Da Nang Port at noon on January 5.

Earlier, on January 3, the trawler,
captained by Tran Van Hien from Hai Xuan commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh
province, went adrift and was at risk of sinking due to engine failure while it
was some 70 nautical miles off Cua Viet Port of Quang Tri province.
Having received the alert, the
center sent ship SAR 412 to attend the distressed vessel.
At 21:00 on January 4, the rescue
team brought the trawler under control, applied appropriate measures to save it
from sinking and gave first aid to the crewmen before towing the trawler with
the fishermen ashore
