The distressed trawler being towed ashore

Earlier, on January 3, the trawler, captained by Tran Van Hien from Hai Xuan commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province, went adrift and was at risk of sinking due to engine failure while it was some 70 nautical miles off Cua Viet Port of Quang Tri province.

Having received the alert, the center sent ship SAR 412 to attend the distressed vessel.

At 21:00 on January 4, the rescue team brought the trawler under control, applied appropriate measures to save it from sinking and gave first aid to the crewmen before towing the trawler with the fishermen ashore
