HDBank presents scholarships to needy students
PANO – HDBank announced on January 8 that it would continue to accompany the National Fund for Vietnamese Children and the bank has just presented 1,000 scholarships worth VND 1 billion (more than USD 43,000) in total to needy students.
This is the second year in a row that HDBank has collaborated with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children in supporting needy students to overcome difficulties in life. Last year, the bank spent VND 1 billion (more than USD 43,000) in providing 1,000 scholarships for needy students in remote areas of the nine provinces of Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Quang Binh and Kon Tum.

HBBank has always attached special attention to social work. Besides granting scholarships to needy students, the bank also regularly takes care of the poor by joining charity medical programs with Ho Chi Minh City’s Association of Protection for Needy Patients.
Via the programs, the bank has sponsored thousands of patients with their cataract operations and presented 15,000 health insurance cards to needy households and gifts to children with disabilities in provinces nationwide.
The substantial support of HDBank has assisted needy people to overcome difficulties and thrive in life. For its active contributions to the development of the community in 2018, the bank has been presented with the certificate of merit by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
