Pham Tuan Long, Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, said the city is implementing a comprehensive communication program, visual decoration, and cultural and artistic activities to create a lively and joyful atmosphere among community in celebration of the important political event.
The work items are carried out in six key areas, the central agencies, the vicinity of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, and surrounding streets; the city center; gateway routes to the capital; areas where delegates are staying; and routes connecting to the National Convention Centre; the areas around the NCC and others areas throughout the city.
Decoration has been implemented uniformly across 126 communes and wards. Agencies and units began decorating their offices from January 10, while citizens will display national flags from January 15 to 25. Notably, 143 LED screens across the city have been broadcasting content about the 14th National Party Congress since December 25, helping bring this event closer to the public.
So far, Hanoi has largely completed its planned popularization activities approved by the standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat.
The city continues to review and add posters, banners, and lighting clusters along key routes, while urging communes and wards, especially in suburban areas, to enhance decorations in residential areas. The installation of fresh flowers, large-scale displays, and artistic models is expected to be completed by January 16, with measures in place to maintain their durability and visual appeal throughout the peak period.
Besides, a wide range of cultural and artistic activities has been organized across cultural centers, stadiums, parks, and residential areas, with 88 performance programs scheduled.
Hanoi has placed special emphasis on an artistic program themed “Under the glorious flag of the Party” as a key political and cultural highlight to celebrate the congress.
According to Long, the 120-minute program is expected to reflect the significance of this important political event. It will feature political ceremonies and an artistic performance structured into three parts, and concludes with a fireworks display.
