The “Heart for You” program has been jointly organized by the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and the Vietnamese Heart Fund - Vietnam Television since 2008 and is one of the long-term community projects in Vietnam. 

7,000 needy child patients have benefited from the program.

Over the past 15 years, 160,000 children across the country have received free health examination at 98 healthcare programs. The program has mobilized VND 210 billion to provide surgeries and treatment for around 7,000 needy child patients. 

Apart from providing treatment for child patients, the “Heart for You” has provided medical equipment for seven hospitals and a cardiovascular center to better treat patients. 

The gala will honor collectives and individuals with active contributions to the program and call on benefactors, organizations, and businesses inside and outside the country to donate fund to treat needy child patients with congenital heart diseases. At last year’s event, the organizing panel received a total of VND 18 billion from benefactors.

Together with healthcare activities, 1,200 Viettel’s stores across the country have over past years participated in receiving applications and verifying information, so as to provide timely support to children. Within the program, Viettel and the Vietnamese Heart Fund have organized three editions of Viettel Fastest, a short distance race, to raise money for charity activities. These events attracted the participation of more than 6,000 athletes and raised VND 1.8 billion.

In the 16th year, the program will continue health examination activities, provide support for needy families, and promote the application of technologies to categorizing documents and calling for donations.
