JPC is the first institution in the delta developed under a training model directly linked to recruitment by Japanese enterprises. The school was established based on a 2023 cooperation agreement between Esuhai company, which has more than 19 years of experience supporting Vietnamese youth in studying, training, and working in Japan, and the then People’s Committee of Soc Trang province (now part of Can Tho city). The cooperation focuses on training and dispatching human resources to Japan, fostering cooperation between local authorities and Japanese businesses, and developing a vocational school meeting Japanese standards.

After completing domestic training at JPC, students will undertake specialized internships in Japan, with guaranteed employment and an income of 30 - 35 million VND (1,138- 1,328 USD) per month. Upon completing the program, they may extend their work term in Japan for an additional 2.5 - 5 years.
Speaking at the opening event on October 18, Nguyen Xuan Lanh, deputy general director of Esuhai and principal of JPC, said the establishment of the college represents a continuation of the company’s mission to train Vietnamese human resources with skills, discipline, and global competence.
Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Nam urged Esuhai and JPC to continue investing in expansion and improving training quality, gradually upgrading the school to a Japanese-standard high-quality college, and broadening recruitment across Can Tho and neighboring provinces, targeting 2,000-3,000 students per year to meet the region’s growing workforce demand and to foster socio-economic development.
During the ceremony, several partnership agreements were signed between JPC and Japanese organizations and enterprises in the fields of labor.
On this occasion, the college also held a departure ceremony for 31 students of its first cohort, who will study and work in Japan in sectors such as electrical engineering, electronics, hospitality, and healthcare.
JPC and Esuhai also awarded 345 scholarships worth over 2.2 billion VND to students.
