COVID-19 prevention and control inspected in Lao Cai province
PANO - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, on September 25 and 26, led a delegation to inspect border management and protection and COVID-19 prevention and control along the borderline in Lao Cai province.
During the inspection, the deputy minister hailed and acknowledged the border troops’ great efforts in overcoming difficulties while performing COVID-19 prevention and control tasks in border areas.

He also noted that the complicated developments of the pandemic caused challenges and difficulties for the forces in conducting border protection and management as well as preventing illegal border crossings.
Therefore, border guards should take more responsibility and strictly observe the directions of higher levels to accomplish the dual-tasks of border management and COVID-19 prevention and control.
On this occasion, the delegation also toured and presented gifts to troops on duty at COVID-19 checkpoints at the border posts of Pha Long, Nam Chay and Ban Lau under the provincial Border Guard Command.
