The lighting system is part of the “Lighting up the countryside” project (2019) funded by Canon Vietnam Co. Ltd. to install lights along rural roads, thus contributing to ensuring the traffic safety and making the countryside more and more civilized and modern.
After nearly one month implementing the project, an over 3km lighting system has been completed at a cost of VND 56 million and put in use in the three villages of Ca Lo, Trung Tam and Cay Tre in Xuan Lai commune.
At the hand-over ceremony, General Director of Canon Vietnam Niimura Minoru said, “Canon has conducted the “Lighting up the countryside” project since 2013. During seven years, Canon Vietnam invested in lighting systems in 64 villages and communes of the provinces of Bac Ninh, Yen Bai, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, with a total length of 150km, which has brought joy to local people. Through this project, I want more and more countryside roads to be lighted up, which facilitate local people’s traveling.”
