Bringing mid-autumn festival to needy child patients
PANO – A program was held on August 28 to bring Mid-Autumn Festival to about 2,000 children who are under treatment at the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion for children to reunite with their family. However, during this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, the hospital receives on a daily basis over 5,000 children for health check-ups. Meanwhile, about 2,000 children are being treated at the hospital. Among them, many have serious medical conditions.
Therefore, in order to encourage the children and ease their pain, the program was held for 2,000 children who are being treated at the hospital. This is an annual event, hosted by the hospital and sponsors. It gives child patients an occasion to enjoy the festival and receive meaningful gifts.
In the framework of the program, many special performances were also organized. Meanwhile, the children also joined 30 booths and games freely, featuring sand-painting, photo-taking, haircuts, and folk games, among others.
Since the beginning of the month, the hospital has received many gifts, thousands of free meals, and support for needy children under treatment at the hospital.
