Bauhinia flowers planted at relic sites in Dien Bien
PANO - Vietravel’s branch in Hanoi, the Dien Bien provincial Department of Culture, and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)'s Executive Committee in Dien Bien jointly held a program titled “Greening the future” on April 21 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - 2024).
Under the program, the units planted 1,000 Ban (Bauhinia) flower trees at relic sites in the Dien Bien Phu battlefield relic complex, such as Hill A1, Him Lam resistance center, and De Castries bunker.

According to Director of Vietravel’s branch in Hanoi Nguyen Le Huong, with the slogan “Small actions - Big changes,” the company has implemented the “Vietravel Green - Go Green” campaign since 2013 to call on people to join hands to plant trees and build a waste-free tourism environment. The activities aim to spread the message of “green tourism” to tourists to preserve nature and promote sustainable development of the tourism sector.

This year, Vietravel chose Dien Bien as the first destination for the Vietravel Green campaign, intending to make small contribution to planting green trees and protecting the environment at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield relic complex, creating a green landscape and environment.
