The Vietnam E-Commerce Association (Vecom), on Oct 7th, launched a website “1,000 years of Thang Long-Hanoi” at www.hanoi1000nam.vn.

With its three main columns, “Your streets”, “My streets” and “Our streets”, the newly-open website will post information about Hanoi’s streets, particularly those named after the country’s historical figures, eating and drinking places, historical sites, and photos taken by readers.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Luong Van Tu, Vecom’s chairman, said that it is a public website where those interested can send their articles and photos to the webmaster through provided tools.

The website will also help Vietnamese learn more about name and history of the streets, where they are living at.
