PANO - Six high school students will join the 10th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) in India, from November 30th to December 15th.

The candidates, Dao Vu Quang, Tran Nhat Quang, Le Manh Tuan and Pham Quang Hieu from Hanoi Amsterdam High School, Khuat Duy Hong from the Son Tay High Schools, and Le Ba Truong Giang from Nguyen Hue High School, are outstanding students chosen by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training through strict exams to represent Vietnam at the competition.

At the 9th IJSO in South Africa, all six Vietnamese contestants bagged medals, including three silvers and three bronzes.

IJSO is a major international competition held annually for physics, chemistry and biology to encourage further development of scientific knowledge among talented young students. The first IJSO was held in Indonesia in 2004.
