PANO – All children will have an opportunity to create and show their abilities when taking part in a special programme entitled “Children of Vietnam and international friends” hosted by the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (VME) on May 30th and 31st.
A number of traditional games of Vietnam and other countries will be played, such as striking drums while being blindfolded, tug of war, eggs of crow, sweet potato seller, throwing sticks.
Moreover, children will enjoy traditional costume shows from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Indonesia, as well as land and water puppetry as well as duet love songs.
There will also be a performance by the band, Tetrafide. from Australia, on the morning of May 31st.
Children will be given clay and some materials to create toys or the Netherlands-style ornamental lamps.
The VME’s special programme aims to link Vietnamese children with international friends on the International Children’s Day, June 1st. It is also a chance for children to have cultural exchanges and learn new things from around the world.
