After two previous successful events nationwide, the third Vietnam Book Day aims to honor the value of books and to recognize the meaning of books in the public's spiritual life, particularly among book lovers.
87 Vietnamese publishing houses will participate in the four-day Vietnam Book Day event, which will feature book exhibitions, workshops and exchanges.
Vietnam Book Day was also held in Quang Ngai province on April 20th. Numerous activities, such as a book exhibition, a storytelling contest for children, an exhibition of children paintings, and a book forum on national sea and islands were held at the event.
Another book festival, “Book-Culture and Development”, also opened on April 20th on 2-9 and Bach Dang Streets, Hai Chau district, Da Nang. 100 publishing houses took part in the four-day event.
