Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has given the green light to a proposal on a foreign-funded Fulbright University Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City.
This will be a non-profit tertiary education facility invested by the Trust for University Innovation in Vietnam (TUIV).
The PM assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to coordinate with other stakeholders to finalise the project and report back to him for a final decision.
TUIV is a non-profit organisation established in the US. Thomas Vallely, who is Chairman of the organisation, is leading the effort to launch the new Fulbright University in Vietnam.
