State President Luong Cuong chairs a meeting with the Presidential Office on December 31 to review its December performance and set key duties for January 2026.

He requested the Presidential Office to exert efforts to perform tasks from early 2026; further enhance the quality of strategic and comprehensive advisory work, coordinate with relevant agencies to finalize the 2026 plan; and accelerate the application of information technology and digital transformation in management and operations to meet the rising demands as the country enters a new development phase.

President Cuong demanded the office to effectively support State leaders at the 14th National Party Congress, implement the work programs of the President and the Vice President during the Lunar New Year 2026, and manage other domestic and foreign affairs in the first quarter of 2026, ensuring thorough, flexible, and practical execution without errors or delays.

He urged the leadership and all staff of the Office to demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and teamwork, closely coordinating to successfully complete assigned tasks in January and the following months of 2026.

Reports at the meeting show that in December, the office gave effective advice to and supported the President and the Vice President in carrying out tasks assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat, and assisted State leaders at the 15th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee, the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, and other review meetings. The advisory work in legislative, executive, judicial, defense-security, and foreign affairs was implemented in a coordinated and compliant manner, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Notably, the office played a key role in advising the President on the promulgation of 40 laws and one ordinance; and in signing decisions concerning international treaties, nationality, and emulation and commendation.

It also effectively supported major events, including the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, the Political-Military Conference for the whole military, while ensuring the smooth implementation of important domestic and foreign activities during the final month of the year.
