The Party chief was accompanied by General Ngo Xuan Lich, Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief-of-the-General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy-Defense Minister; and Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy-Director of the VPA’s General Department of Politics.

On behalf of the Party, State, and Central Military Commission, General Secretary Trong wished former Party General Secretary Do Muoi and former State President Le Duc Anh good health, and highlighted their devotions and contributions to the national revolutionary cause and the country’s construction and safeguarding.

At the meeting with the hospital’s leadership, General Secretary Trong highly valued its achievements in various fields over the past time, especially in caring for health of troops and people in general, and former Party General Secretary Do Muoi and former State President Le Duc Anh in particular. He hoped that the hospital’s medical personnel will further make efforts in well performing all treatments to senior leaders of the Party and State as well as soldiers and people.
