PANO – The Ministry of Transport and the provincial People’s Committee of Kon Tum on June 28th opened to traffic the section of the Ho Chi Minh Highway running through Kon Tum province.

The section officially put into operation

The construction of the 23.7km long section was started in September 2013 at a cost of VND 860 billion funded by the government bond. After 20 months of construction, the section has been completed, 6 months prior to the deadline and meeting all the designed requirements.

The section is expected to boost regional as well as local socio-economic development and contribute to strengthening national defence and security.
