Among these, the revised Law on Special Consumption Tax and the revised Law on Corporate Income Tax, previously debated in the eighth session, are slated for approval in the upcoming session.

Five others, part of the 2025 Law and Ordinance Building Program, were reviewed for the first time. These include the Law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality, the revised Railway Law, the Law on Personal Data Protection, the Law on State of Emergency, and the Law on Participation in U.N. Peacekeeping Operations.

The committee also approved a resolution authorizing the Government to issue a decree reducing land rents for 2024, among others.

Another session is scheduled for late March to finalize preparations for the ninth session, discuss the draft Law on Management and Use of State Capital Invested in Production and Business at Enterprises, and address any additional issues if necessary.

According to Man, the committee will hold continuous meetings next month to adjust commune-level administrative boundaries, a reorganization expected to impact 60-70% of such units nationwide.

The April session, set to span 10 days in two phases, will tackle more than 45 agenda items. Between these sessions, the committee will host a conference for full-time National Assembly deputies to collect feedback on several draft laws and key issues before submitting them to the ninth session.
