Phase I of the Mekong Delta’s largest wastewater treatment plant has been put into operation at the Tra Noc 2 Industrial Zone in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.

The plant’s phase 1, which cost 142 billion VND (6.5 million USD), covers an area of 10,400 sq.m with a capacity of 6,000 cu.m per day.

Phase II, which will be implemented soon, will bring the plant’s capacity to 12,000 cu.m per day, making it the largest one in the Mekong Delta region.

The plant is the second one in Can Tho after the first plant at the Thot Not industrial zone, which has a capacity of 2,500 cu.m.
