The Minister was accompanied by Major General Vu Hai San, Commander of Military Region 3; Nguyen Dinh Khang, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee; Phung Duc Tien, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment and other National Assembly (NA) deputies representing Ha Nam province.

On behalf of the NA deputies’ delegation, Phung Duc Tien briefed the voters on the outcomes of the 14th NA's recently-concluded fourth session.

Meanwhile, the voters voiced support for the sound leadership and instructions of the Party and State, especially policies from the NA, in ensuring order and achieving socio-economic development to raise people’s living standards.

They also hoped that the Party, State and local authorities will continue to  attach importance to growing the socio-economy in combination with strengthening defense and security work, protecting the environment, fighting against corruption, and care for policy beneficiaries, fishermen, and soldiers stationed on islands and in border and rural areas.

Delivering a speech, General Lich highly appreciated the voters’ opinions and affirmed that their recommendations will be reported to authorize agencies for consideration.

Additionally, the Defense Minister spoke highly of patriotism, solidarity, and belief in the leadership of the Party and State of voters in Thanh Huong commune in particular and in Ha Nam province in general.

Congratulating them on socio-economic achievements over the past time, General Lich asked local authorities and people to continue to embrace  the Party’s and State’s guidelines and policies, continue to do business well, and take care of those who had rendered contributions to the nation in the locality.

He also briefed the voters on the results of national defense and military tasks, adding that they should heighten revolutionary vigilance against the hostile forces’ plots and actively carry out local defense and military work to contribute to the national construction and defense campaign. 

Previously, General Lich visited, inquired after, and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and wounded soldiers in Thanh Huong commune.
