Present at the event were Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai; former Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee Phan Dien; former Politburo member and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), Senior Lieutenant General Pham Thanh Ngan; Deputy Director of the VPA’s General Department of Politics, Lieutenant General Do Can; Editor-in-Chief of the PAN, Major General Pham Van Huan; among others.
Looking back at the Party’s history, the birth of the CPV was a great turning point in the country’s revolutionary cause and development path. Despite numerous ups and downs, the Party has won over the people’s trust and support. That is why the Party has been able to lead the Vietnamese revolution from victory to victory, recording such accomplishments as the August Revolution in 1945, the resistance wars to liberate and defend the nation, and the Doi Moi (renewal) cause.
Over the past 88 years, under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam has achieved great successes in the national construction and defense cause. The Party has devoted a great amount of time and great efforts to the key task of Party building, and gained important outcomes and lessons to enhance the Party’s leadership and combat capacity.

Gifts presented to units tasked to ensure a warm and safe Tet for people |
Currently, the whole Party and people are striving to accelerate the renovation, industrialization, and modernization, develop the socialist-oriented market economy, expand international integration and protect socialism for the goal of wealthy people and a strong nation with democracy, equality and civilization.
During the program, viewers enjoyed reportages and special artistic pieces performed by well-known artists and singers in praise of the country, the Party, President Ho Chi Minh-the founder of the CPV, and those who sacrificed for the national freedom and independence.
Additionally, the organizing panel handed over gifts to units that are doing tasks for people welcoming a warm and safe Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, such as the Signal Corps, Commando Corps, Factory A31 (the Air Defense Air Force Service), Brigade 144 (the VPA’s General Staff), and Army Corps 1.
Previously, the organizers carried out several gratitude activities, such as preparing for construction of a kindergarten in Quang Trong commune, Thach An district, Cao Bang province, and handing over 1,600 gifts to national contributors and impoverished households in Thanh Hoa province.
