Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (real name is Nguyen Thi Vinh) was born in 1910 in Vinh city, Nghe An province. She became a revolutionary when she was 17 years old. In 1930, she was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). She became one of the first members of the CPV and was assigned missions to disseminate information and mobilize women in the areas of Truong Thi and Ben Thuy. She gathered numerous women to join the revolutionary movement and trained them to become Party members.

The revolutionary also launched many training courses for the Party cadres, contributing to creating a major force for the Xo Viet – Nghe Tinh Uprising.

* The same day, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in association with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and the Nghe An provincial Party Committee, launched a seminar themed “Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and the Vietnamese revolution and Nghe An homeland.”
