The meeting was particularly significant as it addressed major issues concerning Party building, the political system, and socio-economic development. Its decisions provide a foundation for effectively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress while laying the theoretical, organizational, and personnel groundwork for the country's long-term development.

Building and rectifying the Party and the political system remain a key task. Despite sustained attention and regular efforts, some shortcomings have been slow to address, while previously identified violations have recurred. Facing the facts squarely, the meeting objectively assessed achievements, identified limitations, clarified their root causes and lines of responsibility, and defined solutions to strengthen the Party's capacity for self-renewal and self-correction.

An overview of the fourth meeting of the 14th Party Central Committee

A key highlight of the meeting was the Party's pro-active response to practical demands through renewed thinking and leadership approaches to national development. The adoption of a new resolution on reforming the Party's leadership and governance methods demonstrates its determination to modernize leadership practices and working methods in line with the evolving organizational structure and new requirements. This effort goes hand in hand with building a contingent of officials capable of meeting emerging demands. President Ho Chi Minh once taught, “Cadres are the root of all work.” The meeting's policies on personnel affairs and talent attraction reflect the Party's commitment to this fundamental task. This serves as a key preparatory step toward cultivating a high-quality contingent of successors, contributing to the creation of  stronger organizations with enhanced implementation capabilities.

Although the meeting was relatively brief, the Party Central Committee addressed numerous long-term and immediate issues. In addition to reviewing economic and budgetary matters and key tasks for 2027, it approved outlines for reviewing the 100-year history of the Party's leadership of the Vietnamese revolution and setting orientations for leading the country's development over the following 100 years. These decisions demonstrate the Party's vision and sense of responsibility for the nation's future.

The resolutions adopted at the fourth meeting will further strengthen the Party, generate new momentum for the political system, and help unlock resources for national development.

The greater the tasks ahead, the greater the responsibility. Following the meeting, Party committees at all levels and Party members must pro-actively study, understand, communicate, and creatively implement its decisions in a comprehensive and thorough manner. The guiding principle is to clearly define tasks, responsibilities, and implementation conditions, act immediately where requirements are clear, and measure performance by tangible results.

In this spirit, the Military Party Organization and the entire military will thoroughly implement the meeting's resolutions while strengthening the leadership capability and combat effectiveness of Party organizations and improving the quality of military and defense task performance. The military will continue to reform and improve the effectiveness of efforts to build a politically strong military, review its political objectives and tasks, and strive to achieve the best possible results.

With unwavering faith in the Party's leadership, a spirit of self-reliance, and the nation's aspiration to advance, the entire Party, people, and armed forces will strengthen solidarity, take determined actions, and successfully implement the resolutions of the fourth meeting. These efforts will pave the way for new breakthroughs and help build a strong, prosperous, and happy Viet Nam.
