Military doctors take care of local people in Quang Ngai province
PANO – A delegation of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics Major General Pham Manh Cuong, provided free health checkups and medicines to people in Binh Hai commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, on November 3.
During the event , doctors from Military Hospital 87 (under the General Department of Logistics) and Military Hospital 13 (Military Region 5) diagnosed local people with chronic diseases such as blood pressure, musculoskeletal system, and neuropathy while instructing them how to use medicines and prevent diseases in rainy and storm seasons.
According to Senior Colonel Pham Van Khoi, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 87, the unit has prepared 1,100 medicine doses for local people. Meanwhile, the Southern Military Center for Preventive Medicine under the Department of Military Medicine also sprayed disinfectant and cleaned up the environment.
Directed by the Defense Minister and the Chief of the General Staff, the General Department of Logistics devised plans and assigned delegations to flood-hit areas in Military Region 5. They also ensured logistics, conducted search and rescue missions as well as provided free health checkups and medicines. These are practical activities to share difficulties with and help local people soon stabilize their lives.
