Overseas Vietnamese in Japan support national COVID-19 vaccine fund
PANO – The Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka prefecture of Japan held an online meeting on August 21 to mobilize overseas Vietnamese in Japan to donate to the national COVID-19 vaccine fund.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka Vu Binh affirmed the importance of vaccine inoculation. He said that vaccine is a strategic measure to help Vietnam contain the virus, contributing to bringing people’s life back to normal and ensuring a safe environment for economic recovery.
On behalf of the staff of the Vietnamese representative agency in Japan, the Vietnamese diplomat called upon Vietnamese expats in Japan and Japanese partners and people to donate to Vietnam’s vaccine fund, so as to help the country purchase enough COVID-19 vaccine to reach herd immunity.
This program is part of the efforts of overseas Vietnamese in Japan in helping Vietnam and its people overcome the hard time.
As planned, the program will run until September 15. All donations received will be handed over to the national COVID-19 vaccine fund.
