Overseas Vietnamese teachers in Thailand visit motherland
PANO - A delegation of former Vietnamese teachers in Thailand started their eight-day visit to the homeland on October 5.

Following the success of the previous visit in 2016, this activity, organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (COVA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is to honor contributions of Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand to the cause of national salvation and reunification in the past and the present cause of national construction and protection, as well as boosting the teaching of, and learning of the Vietnamese language for the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
The delegation members are those with great contributions to teaching Vietnamese language in Thailand.
During their stay in the home country, the delegation is scheduled to meet leaders of the State and COVA, explore cultural and historical relics in Hanoi, Nghe An, Ninh Binh and Quang Binh as well as participate in a number of gratitude activities, such as paying homage to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and to General Vo Nguyen Giap at his tomb.
