Homeland Spring program held for overseas Vietnamese in India
PANO – The Vietnam Embassy in India held the ‘Xuan que huong” (Homeland Spring) program on Febuary 12 at the Headquarters of the embassy in New Delhi.
The event saw the participation of Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau, staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, Vietnamese people living and working in India, and international friends.
The “Homeland Spring” program is an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese and international friends to experience the Vietnamese people’s traditional lunar New Year.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau recalled that despite impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnamese Embassy in India has successfully fulfilled assigned missions.
Together with contributing to comprehensively strengthening bilateral relations, the embassy has effectively carried out vaccine diplomacy and protected the safety of Vietnamese people in the country.
During the program, participants had opportunity to feel the lunar New Year atmosphere with firecrakers, peach and yellow apricot blossoms, and the Vietnamese people’s traditional food for the lunar New Year.
The event took place in a cozy, joyful atmosphere and deepened the love for Vietnam of expatriates and Indian friends
