Remains of Vietnamese martyrs repatriated from Laos
PANO - A ceremony was held on May 16 to receive 11 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who lost their lives in Laos.
At the event, leaders of Vientiane capital (Bolikhamxai province) and Ha Tinh province, the armed forces and authorities of Huong Son district offered incense and flowers in tribute to martyrs who laid down their lives for international duties.

In the 2023-2024 dry season, with the support of the Party Committee, authorities, armed forces, and people in Vientiane capital, Bolikhamxai province, Ha Tinh province’s search and collection team found and collected 11 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who died in Laos. All the sets have not yet been verified.

* On the same day in Thanh Hoa, the authorities of the province held memorial and burial services at Dong Tam War Cemetery for the remains of 15 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who laid down their lives during wartime in Laos.
Over the past time, the Special Working Committees of Thanh Hoa and Huaphanh provinces have implemented the search, collection, and repatriation of martyrs’ remains in Laos in an effective manner.
Attentively, during the 2023-2024 dry season, the search and collection team of the Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command has pro-actively overcome difficulties and closely coordinated with local authorities of Huaphanh province (Laos) to search and gather 15 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors in many districts of Huaphanh province, Laos. All the sets have not yet been verified.
