These remains were found at a depth of over one meter, along with personal belongings such as military hammocks and belts. According to the information provided by local residents, it is likely that these soldiers laid down their lives between 1964 and 1967. Team K90 is currently expanding its search area and gathering more information from locals.

At the same time, the team is conducting another survey at a mass grave of fallen soldiers during an attack on a U.S. firebase in Nhi Binh commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province.

According to information from veterans, on February 25 night, approximately 300 - 400 troops from Battalions 263 and 267, Companies 514 and 312 (former MR8) participated in the assault on firebase Jaeger. The Vietnamese forces suffered heavy casualties, and many were buried in a mass grave by U.S. troops.

Reportedly, during the 2023-2024 dry season, Team K90 has searched and collected 63 sets of martyrs’ remains, 28 in Cambodia and 35 in Vietnam. Three of these remains have been verified.
