Campaign to collect wartime mementos launched
PANO – The online Vietnam Urban and Environment Magazine, the Vietnamese National Archives III, and the The Gioi (World) Publishers launched a campaign in Hanoi on July 12 to collect keepsakes and documents related to Vietnamese and American veterans during the war in Vietnam.
During the first phase of the campaign from July 15, 2019 to April 30, 2020, collected keepsakes and documents will be preserved by the Vietnamese National Archives III.

The items will be displayed at exhibitions jointly conducted by the Vietnamese and US archives sectors in both countries in 2020.
At the same time, the organization panel has planned to work with relevant agencies to return these keepsakes and documents to the rightful owners.
Also at the launching ceremony, Vietnamese poet, Senior Colonel Dang Vuong Hung, introduced an English version of his book entitled “American pilots in Vietnam”. The data and information in the book were collected by the writer for 16 years from 1997 to 2003.
