The first stand of the exhibition introduces letters and images of President Ho Chi Minh and leaders of the Party, State, and Army, encouraging troops to overcome difficulties for national independence and freedom during the two national resistance wars.
Meanwhile, the second and third sessions respectively exhibit letters of combatants, who were in the front, sending to their relatives in the home fronts, and their diaries featuring their daily life activities and fights, political stance, comradeship, and aspirations for peace.
Notably, on display is the diary of martyr Dang Thuy Tram, which was apparently found and kept for 35 years by American veteran Fred Whitehurst and then returned to Tram's family in April 2005.
The exhibition is to honor contributions of former veterans and heroic martyrs to the national salvation cause.
