Photos of the home front in wartime on display in Hanoi
PANO – More than 100 photos of the home front in wartime in the 20th century, taken by photographer Mau Hoang Thiet during the anti-American war, are on display at the ongoing exhibition at the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi.
The five-day event, themed “The Home Front in the mid-20th century,” is co-hosted by National Archives Center No.4 of the State Records and Archives Department, the Vietnam Youth Museum, and the Vietnam Women’s Museum.
The displayed photos vividly reflect the active working environment of northern people to provide supplies for southern people in the resistance war against American invaders for national salvation.
After the exhibition, the photographer will hand over all original photographic films to National Archives Center No.4 for preservation.
