The battles that led to victory for the nation also served as a source of inspiration for peoples and national liberation movements across Asia, Africa, and Latin America in their efforts to resist imperialism and achieve independence. Reality has proven to the world that Vietnam’s path to national reunification in 1975 was the right one, he affirmed.
Since then, Vietnam has made remarkable progress in socio-economic and cultural development, becoming one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. The country is pursuing a sovereign path of development within a socialist-oriented market economy and is rapidly transforming into an industrialized nation with significant contributions from the agricultural and service sectors.
The General Secretary emphasized that in this decades-long epic struggle, the Communist Party of Vietnam played a central role by formulating sound ideologies, adapting strategies over time, and uniting national and international forces. The Party’s leadership in ensuring political stability and social order has continued to provide Vietnam with the most crucial environment for socio-economic development, thereby sustaining the country’s standing in both regional and international arenas.
According to him, the lessons learned from this struggle have been applied to Vietnam’s current development. Various segments of society have actively participated in economic growth by effectively opening up multiple pathways. Policies implemented at both regional and international levels have brought in significant results, contributing to Vietnam’s mutually beneficial development.
