Troubled fisherman saved by coast guard force
PANO - Troops of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command gave timely first aid to a fisherman suffering from gastrointestinal hemorrhage on January 10.

The command revealed that at 21:45 on January 10, Ship CSB 4039 was asked to provide medical assistance for trawler KG94225TS which was operating in the waters bordering Vietnam and Malaysia. The trawler with six fishermen on board was captained by Bui Ngoc Huenh from Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province.
Right upon receiving the news, the ship reported it to the Coast Guard Region 4 Command’s headquarters and took the rescue mission.
At 23:20 the same day, the coast guard ship reached the trawler and gave first aid to fisherman Ha Trong Binh who was then diagnosed with gastrointestinal hemorrhage and decreased blood pressure. Earlier, Binh vomited blood and had a headache and signs of dizziness and fatigue.
Provided with intravenous fluids and getting medicines, the fisherman then recovered and was taken to Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province for further treatment.
While approaching the trawler and treating the fisherman, the coast guard ship’s members strictly observed COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
