Troubled fisherman saved at sea
PANO - The medical staff of ship 267 under the Naval Region 2 Command successfully gave first aid to a distressed fisherman on trawler BTh 97989 TS on May 11.

At 06:10 the same day, while operating at the Southern continental shelf of the country, the ship received an SOS signal from the trawler, informing that a fisherman was injured.
The commander of the ship promptly instructed the trawler to get close to the ship and sent a medical team to the trawler. According to the initial examination, the left hand of Nguyen Quoc Duong, born in 1990, a resident of Duc Nghia ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province was injured while operating a winch machine for fishing.
While giving treatment for the troubled fisherman, the medical team strictly took COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
Apart from treating the injured fisherman, ship 267 provided three tons of fresh water for the trawler and encouraged fishermen to observe fishing laws and COVID-19 measures.
