Six distressed fishermen brought ashore safely |
Earlier, at 8:00 of the same day, trawler BV 94349 TS, captained by fisherman Phan Dung, sank due to a serious water leak while fishing about 60 nautical miles off Vung Tau cape.
Upon receiving the information, the Vietnam MRCC immediately sent Ship SAR 413 to the scene for a search and rescue mission.
At 12:30, the ship approached the trawler, took the six distressed crew-members to the ship and gave them first aid.
Around five hours later, they were brought ashore and handed over to the relevant agency.
