Troops help overcome consequences of the natural disaster.

Due to the impact of Typhoon Talim, the weather situation in Kien Giang province has been extremely complicated in recent days. Nearly 600 troops of the provincial armed force have directly arrived at the scene to assist the people in quickly overcoming the aftermath caused by the typhoon.

These troops have helped the locals repair damaged houses, fix roofs, dredge local drainage systems in flooded areas, salvage boats and ships sunk by waves, and clear fallen trees caused by heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Nganh, Commanding Officer of the provincial Military Command, said, "Due to the ongoing complex weather situation in the coming days, the provincial military command has directed agencies and units under the military commands of districts and cities to continue to be on duty all day and night, closely monitor the developments of the natural disaster, and mobilize forces and resources to support the people in natural disaster prevention and recovery in a timely manner."
