Thua Thien - Hue armed forces help flood-hit people
PANO – As Storm No.13 left severe consequences in Thua Thien-Hue province, the provincial Military Command sent troops on November 15 right after the storm to help the flood-hit people resume their normal lives.
Specifically, the Quang Dien district Military Command deployed 10 officers and soldiers, together with over 30 militiamen, to the locality to help locals overcome the flooding aftermath. By 16:00 of the same day, most damaged houses in Quang Cong and Quang Ngan communes were repaired.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thien, Commander of the Quang Dien district’s Military Command, Quang Dien was heavily affected by the storm.

Therefore, the unit had mobilized its troops to move local people to a safer place before the storm arrived.
Hue city was also badly affected by the storm, and the city’s Military Command sent troops to disaster-hit areas for rescue and disaster relief missions.
According to the unit’s commander Colonel Le Duc Hiep, 25 troops from the unit and other forces rushed to the locality to assist the flood-hit victims.
Over the past days, the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Military Command has actively directed its affiliated units to send troops to flood-affected localities to help locals overcome the storm consequences, said its Commander Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong.
