* On January 24, the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) and the Kind Hear Foundation (VinGroup) co-held a program to hand over 150 Tet packages, worth VND 600,000 each, to poor households on the occasion of Tet festival.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the PAN informed that over the past years, the PAN has conducted various social activities to assist needy people nationwide, with the financial support of agencies, units, organizations, enterprises, and benefactors inside and outside the military.
This year, the PAN has coordinated with the Kind Heat Foundation to give 1,500 Tet gifts, valued at nearly VND 1 billion in total, to poor families in the provinces of Phu Tho, Yen Bai, and Dien Bien.
On the occasion, Major General Bui Hai Son, Chief of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, sent 120 gifts to needy families.
* The same day, a delegation of the General Department of Logistics (GDL), led by Senior Colonel Mai Van Ky, Head of the Department of Mass Mobilization under the Department of Political Affairs (GDL), inquired after and offered Tet gifts to policy families and disadvantaged households in Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province.
During the visit, the delegation granted 20 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to policy beneficiaries and poor families in the locality.
