Over the past time, the local Party committee and authorities have paid more attention to building classrooms for children. However, the classrooms have been downgraded, making it unsafe for teachers and students, especially during harsh weather conditions.

Being aware of the situation, the Son La provincial Border Guard Command has called for donation and received financial support from the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (also called BIDV Insurance Corporation). The local authorities of Muong Cai commune and the people of Co Phuong village joined hands and supported the completion of the school site.

The school now has one classroom, a public room, a toilet, and a playground. The total cost of the construction was more than VND 362 million.

According to Senior Colonel Ca Van Lap, Political Commissar of the Son La provincial Border Guard Command, over the past years, the BIDV Insurance Corporation has supported Son La’s border troops in conducting many practical programs and COVID-19 prevention and control work.

Since 2020, the command has called on businesses, individuals, and organizations to support and received nearly VND 3.4 billion to build 14 classrooms for children and official residences for teachers in border localities, he added.

Also, he emphasized that the inauguration of Co Phuong Kindergarten has contributed to tightening the ties between the military and people and protecting the national sovereignty and border security.
