SAR 413 rescues distressed fishermen at sea
PANO – Ship SAR-413 of the Vietnam Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC) on January 26 towed trawler BĐ 99119 with 9 fishermen on board ashore.
Previously, the trawler went adrift due to engine failure while fishing at sea. As the problem could not be fixed, while the trawler was running out of food and fresh water, the trawler’s captain sent a mayday signal.
Upon receiving the information, the center immediately sent ship SAR 413 to rescue the troubled trawler.
Ship 413 approached the trawler, provided first aid to the fishermen and took it safely ashore.
* Ship CSB 4035 under the 401 Squadron of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command on January 26 successfully took a pregnant woman Phan Thi Thao in Kien Giang province for emergency treatment at the General Hospital of Phu Quoc district.

Earlier, the expectant women, a native in Bai Ngu village, Tho Chau commune, Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang province, was diagnosed as metrorrhagia and needed to be hospitalized for urgent treatment.
Ship CSB 4035 and the People’s Committee of Tho Chau commune immediately sent the patient to the General Hospital of Phu Quoc district for treatment.
