Six distressed fishermen rescued
PANO - The Maritime Rescue Coordination Center Region III on December 19 handed over six fishermen aboard trawler KH 92576TS to relevant agencies.

Earlier, on December 18, at 6:40, the center was informed that the trawler with six fishermen aboard was sinking due to damages cause by storm Kai-tak while sailing 20 nautical miles East off the coast of Ninh Thuan province.
The Center immediately sent martime alerts and requested the near-by ship “Prudent” of Mongolia to help the distressed trawler while mobilizing ship SAR 272 to the rescue.
At 10:00 the same day, they approached the distressed trawler and saved all fishermen and then transferred them to the center.
