Nghe An’s border guard force rescues distressed trawler
PANO - The Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command deployed forces and vehicles to successfully rescue a distressed trawler, ensuring the safety of the fishermen and the vessel on May 25.
Earlier, trawler QB 91414 TS, with four fishermen on board from Quang Binh province, experienced a rudder malfunction near Cua Hoi estuary amid rough weather conditions. Upon receiving the distress signal, Naval Squadron 2 reported the situation to the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command. The command immediately dispatched ship BP 06.11.01, led by Major Tran Duy Long, Head of Naval Squadron 2, to approach the scene and organize the rescue operation.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the rescue team from Squadron 2 managed to reach the distressed trawler and carry out the operation successfully.
By 1:45 p.m. the same day, ship BP 06.11.01 had safely towed trawler QB 91414 TS and all four crew-members to Cua Hoi Port.
All crew-members are currently in stable health. The trawler has been safely anchored at the port and is awaiting repairs.
