Naval ship tow distressed trawler to Song Tu Tay for repairing
PANO – On September 17, Ship 473 of Naval Region 4 towed trawler QNg 90379TS to Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) in Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province for repairing.

Earlier, trawler QNg 90379TS with Vo Hong Thien, a 41-year old man from Binh Chau commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, at the helm, experienced engine failure and went adrift on September 12 while fishing in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
After three days drifting at sea, trawler QNg 90379TS’s captain contacted and asked naval troops to tow the trawler to Song Tu Tay for repairing.
On September 16, Ship 473 of Naval Region 4 managed to approach distressed trawler QNg 90379TS after ten hours struggling with strong wind, rough sea, and rainstorm.
The ship’s crew-members immediately attached tow ropes to the trawler and tow it to Song Tu Tay.
