The event was attended by Giang Pao My, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People's Council; Sung A Ho, President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives from the provincial Border Guard Command.

The program featured various activities, including artistic exchange, “0 VND Stall,” free health examination and consultation and medicines to locals, and folk games, among others.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Giang Pao My emphasized the significance of the program. She said that the event demonstrated the concern and care of the Party, State, Party Committees, and authorities at all levels for ethnic minority people and those in remote and mountainous localities on the lunar New Year.

The program is held annually with practical activities to help people have a cozy and happy New Year. It also shows border guard troops’ sentiment and responsibility for people in border areas, thus consolidating their relationship.

At the event, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Giang Pao My handed over gifts to Tung Qua Lin commune, Dao San Border Post, and Cang Ha village. Agencies, units, and businesses presented 200 gifts to policy families and needy households in Cang Ha village and four others to students in the “Supporting children to school” program.
