Handing the decisions on sponsoring fishermen's children

Accordingly, Naval Region 2 sponsored 15 children of needy fishermen in Vinh Chau town in Soc Trang province, districts of Hoa Binh, Dong Hai, Vinh Loi in Bac Lieu province, and Duyen Hai district in Tra Vinh province.

The unit provided necessities, medical and financial support for sponsored children. In addition, the unit inquired after and encouraged them to overcome their difficulties and study hard to have a better life.

According to Senior Captain Tran Manh Chien, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, the meaningful activity showed the responsibility of the armed forces as well as the attention of individuals, organizations, enterprises and benefactors, for children, contributing to fulfilling assigned missions and widely spreading good deeds in the community.

The Naval Region 2 Command presents 300 national flags to fishermen in Soc Trang.

In the next years, Naval Region 2 in particular and the Naval Service’s forces in general will continue conducting the activity in 28 coastal provinces and cities across the country, he underlined.

On the occasion, Naval Region 2 presented 100 medical bags, 100 life jackets, 300 national flags, and 500 leaflets to fishermen participating in the event, and gave free health check-ups and medicines to more than 100 fishermen with difficult conditions.
